Early Scholars - AIM Practitioner

LOCATION: Ballyshannon, Kilcullen, Co.Kildare

JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

Early Scholars are recruiting an AIM support practitioner to join their Ballyshannon team.

This is a term-time position, however, additional non-term time hours will be available if interested.

The role is 20 hours weekly in our morning Pre-school Programs over the 38 week school term.

You will be working alongside another Early Years Educator in a warm friendly inclusive environment.

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 5 or 6 – proof of certificate is required.
  • Planned progression to QQI Level 7 an advantage
  • 2 signed references • Garda Vetting will be processed

Further training provided including First Aid, Manual Handing and Fire Safety Role and duties would include: 

  • Support the Preschool Teacher in an ECCE classroom of 11 children
  • Support the Preschool Teacher in the day to day running of the service, ensuring adherence to Early Scholars policies and procedures
  • Assist with daily planning, child observations and scrapbooks
  • Excellent communication skills required to work alongside the key carer, families, children and staff.

TEMPORARY / PERMANENT & HOURS PER WEEK:

20 hours per week, mornings only. Term-time only with the option for additional hours available in Newbridge.

Job Description:
