Kidz Akademy - Service Manager

LOCATION: Kilcullen, Co.Kildare

JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

We are looking for an Early Years Manager to ensure that the service is run in a professional manner. The manager will need to ensure the safety of children and staff. The manager must ensure that the children in our care are cared for in a loving and safe environment in line with the Early Years and School Aged Childcare Regulations.

Job Description:

  • The Manager role is to ensure compliance with all childcare regulations
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being fully implemented, monitored, and adhered to at all times.
  • Management and support of all staff within the creche
  • Ensure that all staff receive regular support and supervision
  • Ensure staff training needs are identified, responded to and that learning is promoted
  • To communicate regularly with all Staff ▪ Maintain records – attendance, annual leave and sick leave - employees
  • Conduct Risk Assessments
  • Complete audits and reports of service
  • Report to Area Manager and Senior Management Team
  • Facilitate Monthly staff meetings in house
  • Report any feedback and concerns to the area manager in a timely manner
  • Keep up to date records on all staff, timesheets, annual leave, sick leave etc
  • Ensure the creche is always delivering high quality childcare
  • Promote the concept of diversity welcoming all families
  • Always ensure the Safety and Protection of the Children in your care
  • Promote a work environment of engagement and excellence
  • Delegate and develop staff where necessary and appropriate
  • NCS and ECCE schemes knowledge

Requirements:

  • Professional, competent and experienced manager
  • Must have a minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Early Childhood Education and Care – Preferably a level 7 or above
  • HACCAP knowledge
  • Core Funding and National Programmes knowledge
  • Better start / AIM Experience
  • Able to work collaboratively with other mangers, Area Managers and Senior Management Team
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent Communication and Team Building Skills
  • Resilience and Leadership Skills
  • Build, develop and maintain effective team work
  • Provides Clear expectations and instructions

Job Description:
